Extract audio files from CDs and DVDs
Make great-sounding direct digital copies from audio CDs or DVDs with CD-DA Extractor. This attractive, easy-to-use utility performs Red-book digital audio extraction from a CD or DVD and transforms the sound to a .wav, raw .pcm, or .mp3 file. It uses the Windows Audio Compression Manager to compress the audio data, so all compression CODECs that are available in your system can be used by it. ATAPI, SCSI-2, and SCSI-3 CD/DVD devices are supported (though not every CD-ROM drive of these types will work with the program). Features include CD-ROM shuttle controls for auditioning discs from within the program, support of the remote and local CDDB format as well as the Windows CD Player database, a CD database browser, and a speed control for all supported ATAPI drives. You can also use sector synchronization, channel swapping, track offset, priority boost, and extra-high-quality options. Of course, make sure you have plenty of room for your creations -- digital audio files, no matter what the format, tend to take up lots of hard-disk space. This evaluation edition will extract only three tracks at a time and can be used for 30 days. This version has not yet been reviewed.
